Patch 2.3 Notes: Key Updates and Improvements
Thank you for your continued support! We’ve been hard at work addressing key issues and adding exciting new features based on your feedback. This patch introduces some significant changes, and we hope you’ll see improvements to both gameplay and performance. Customization & Accessibility
- Reduced the default distance to the enemy and added a Combat Distance setting to allow further customization of the enemy distance.
- Simplified the start-up setting screen to provide simple, clear settings for new players, with full settings still available in the settings menu.
- Improved the traversal vignette setting to appear only when hovered.
Gameplay Polish
- Resolved jitter causing perception of low FPS when turning in traversal and combat.
- Enhanced tutorial enemy behaviour and pop-ups for better player onboarding and clarity.
- Upgraded VFX for combat, traversal, and damage feedback.
Balancing & Refinements
- Balanced the Armorelle boss provide a fairer challenge at the end of World Level 3.
- Adjusted enemy behaviours, attack timings and clarity to enhance the combat experience.
- Improved the fast punch threshold for players who had difficulty with their left punches.
Bug Fixes & Stability
- Addressed a range of major and minor bugs, improving reliability and consistency throughout the game – read on for more.
- Display the cost of Fabricators in the “Buy Fabricator” menu, even when the player doesn’t have enough essence.
- Play the correct music during the narrative intro screen.
- Added a “World Level complete” tutorial after the player completes their first World Level.
- Display correct in-combat messages for the heal spell in the Practice Arena.
- Added a codex entry explaining Quell Score.
- Fixed a bug incorrectly showing a new “Quell Score” record at the end of every session.
- Fixed the “Everlasting” Moonchild Boost to only activate when a spell is successfully triggered.
