NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT

What is the benefit of a non-refundable deposit?

Non-refundable deposits make the Impact & Quell accessible to everyone. Before offering the deposit if someone wanted to play Quell in 2023, they'd need to be comfortable paying a substantial amount of money for a product they wouldn't receive for 6+ months. With the deposit option — now anyone can secure there spot in line!

What is the downside of a non-refundable deposit?

As you've probably guessed, the deposit cannot be refunded. Outside of that, you receive all the same benefits that someone receives for paying up front.

When do I pay the rest of my balance?

Around the halfway point of next year, Quell will begin manufacturing your Impact. At that point, our staff will reach out directly to you to inform you that your unit will be ready soon.

This opens up a 60-day payment window to complete your order. Payment can collected via your initial payment method with your authorization.

What is the benefit of paying in-full today?

Paying in full today means you can cancel your pre-order at anytime before shipment to receive 100% of your money back.

What is the downside of paying upfront?

There is no downside to paying in full upfront. If you have the means to do so, we recommend it because it gives you flexibility if you change your mind. But we don't think you will, because Quell is awesome!

When will my order ship?

New pre-orders will be shipped in late 2023. Drop 1 orders will ship in mid-2023, and Drop 2 in Winter 2023. Place your pre-order today to lock-in the earliest delivery and best price.

What if I change my mind?

That's not a problem. Your pre-orders can be refunded at any point, just reach out to support@playquell.com. Keep in mind that if you cancel your pre-order you likely won't be able to get your hands on an Impact until 2024. 

Should I expect delays?

The Impact and Quell have been under development for the past 2 years. Delays have occurred — the incredible Quell community have stuck by our side. 


People who order now are skipping the growing pains, it's always possible a delay could happen due to macroeconomic variables, but we are very confident with our current timeline. 

Will the price change?

Yes. We're currently offering a discount vs. the retail RRP and have not adjusted the pre-order price to account for rising production costs.  


Shardfall is included with your Impact Starter Kit — post launch Shardfall will be sold for $50. 

What's included in the launch kit?

Everything you could need to get fit while gaming on the impact.

- 1 set of resistance bands (Customized based on your fitness level)

How effective of a workout is it?

Our user testers burned more calories playing Quell than running, cycling or going to the gym. Quell also gives you a full-body workout, including shoulders, arms, chest, core, back, and legs. You can adjust the resistance bands to focus more on building strength or endurance. Whatever your fitness goals, Quell will give you an incredible, immersive workout.

What fighting styles are there?

Quell’s combat is built on the foundations of boxing, but incorporates influences from other fighting styles as well as impactful non-combat fitness moves, like thrusting your arms forward to fire an ice blast. We’ll continue to update the game with new moves in response to player feedback.

Is it safe for beginners?

We consulted physiotherapists and boxers to build safety into every aspect of the design. For example, the resistance bands are anchored below the wrist to avoid common boxing injuries.

As with any vigorous physical activity, we recommend contacting your healthcare provider to discuss any medical issues.

How tough is each session?

Quell’s difficulty is fully customised to you, whether you’re a fitness fanatic or just getting started on your journey. We use your biometrics to set gameplay challenges and recommend the perfect resistance. As you get stronger, the game gets harder, keeping the level just right for you.

Will there be more game titles?

100% — Quell is thrilled about our launch game Shardfall, but by the time Quell is available in the retail market, work on additional titles will be underway by both Quell and external studios.

    We are nearing the end of Drop 003. Orders (including non-refundable deposits) placed today will ship in late 2023. Orders placed during Drops 001 & 002 begin shipping mid-2023.

  • 02.

    Prior to shipment, a Quell representative will be in contact to verify your current address, belt size, and preferred resistance band strength— recommended based on your fitness level at the time of shipment. 

  • 03.

    If you have any questions about your order, please contact us right away at support@playquell.com We will be unable to make changes to your order once it has been shipped.

  • 04.

    Login to your Quell Account to view your expected delivery date. If you purchased a non-refundable deposit, login to your account to view the outstanding balance and payment instructions.
